i might be wrong to say this and i might not. which is why i can't really tell you what i think. i would always want to be a part of the solution rather than the problem. and i choose my battles but at most times, i'd rather just keep my mouth shut. because fighting can be tiring and a waste of time. i care about the grey line, the compromise, the in-betweens. that's all i care about.

but people don't make it easy. they don't. and instead would rather have the last word on every thing and any thing. when the word, even if it is the last, doesn't matter at the end. word versus the action with the latter carrying more weight, more sweat, more doing and less of nothing.

and all of this is for my children.

i don' t really have anything to say. well, i do. but i'm not expressive like that. i can draw and let you know what i'm feeling but it has been so "blah" lately. now there are stuff to look forward to, and i love living, but i've been so darn busy lately that it has been kinda hard to slow down and just take it all in. i've been banging stuff out for a couple of other projects lately...and all of 'em have been non- speakcryptic related. which is okay, i guess. i don't really think that i can be in that mode all the time anyway, so it has been really good to be able to work on something that has nothing to do with my practice. i have some overdue pictures right here, and i'm not really too sure if you're interested to see them. but here there are.

these pictures are from the "love is a dog from hell" show...a tribute to charles bukowski. i had plenty of fun and sold a couple of drawings too....and did some live painting with the band playing.








the plan was for me to start painting first and the band would go up later to play while i paint. so i had baroness on my ipod and didn't realize that the band has started playing till i was halfway through.

okay. i need to catch up on some sleep. i hate sleep. but i only do it to function right.

i've been busy as hell...more busy than the recent weeks. it's been crazy and it's been hard to do all i need to do before each day ends. i went back to teaching part time and that's kinda alright. and villains is getting all these jobs and it's been really good, but cos of this, speakcryptic has been kinda taking a back seat. well not really though...cos i'm still at it. i draw everyday and i'm currently working on like ten drawings at the same time and i'm just gonna show one of them for now. cos i don't think i can do anymore to make it look "finished".

also, am currently working on a couple of designs for band tee shirts and some posters for a cause. and i'm exhausted. keep on keeping on.

has anyone gotten the latest issue of juxtapoz? it's probably one of my all time favorite issues. oh and will post up pictures from the bukowski show as soon as i get them.

apologies for the lack of updates, y'all. My next showing will be on the 28th of September at 15 Minutes Cafe over at LaSalle. And I'm pretty excited about this one as it will involve me paying tribute to one of my all time favorite bad asses, Charles Bukowski.
